mohsen mostafavi water, though essential, is often overlooked in architecture, especially in shaping domestic life and resilience. this project explores how water can redefine rural domesticity by merging ecological, infrastructural, and poetic dimensions. using the greenhouse as a design typology, it reimagines the farmhouse as a hybrid space where landscape, water infrastructure, and the poetics of water converge to address climate adaptation.

titled seeing the rain without seeing the rain, the project integrates rainwater harvesting, permeable walls, and water-responsive interiors, using the greenhouse’s transparency to unite function and experience. through simulations, models, and a site-specific prototype, it envisions a symbiotic relationship between water, architecture, and landscape - proposing a poetic yet practical domesticity for a climate-conscious future.
